Leon Williams (Skyhawk '95) is a redshirt sophomore playing for the #10 ranked Hurricanes. He is currently listed as the #2 Middle Linebacker behind All-American & Butkus Award Candidate Jonathan Vilma. Leon has played in all 11 games this season and has accounted for 19 tackles with 1 tackle for loss yardage. The Hurricanes next opponent is their Big East Conference rival - The # 20 ranked University of Pittsburgh Panthers. The game will be played on Saturday, 11/29/03 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. Gametime is 8:00PM and will be televised by WABC - Channel 7. As previously noted, Leon completed one of the most memorable careers in recent history at Canarsie High School. He chose the Miami Hurricanes over Penn State, Michigan State and Univ. of Wisconsin. Leon was named to the Rivals.com, Parade Magazine and Reebok All-American Teams.
