Former Skyhawk Leads Fordham University into Playoffs

Rhamel Brown (Skyhawk '95) tri-captain for the Fordham Rams 2002 football team leads his team into the 2nd Round of the NCAA Division 1-AA Playoffs. Rhamel,a 5' 11" 180lb linebacker, and his teammates defeated the Northeastern University Huskies 29-24 on Saturday 11/30/02. The Rams (10-2) now move on to face Villanova University, a 35-28 winner over Furman, on Saturday 12/7. This Div. 1-AA Quarterfinal matchup will be at Villanova (Pa.) Rhamel was an All-City Defensive Back at South Shore H.S. He was also named a Brooklyn 44 All star and served as team captain and won team MVP honors. Rhamel concluded his senior year by playing in both the Boomer Esiason Hero Bowl (NYC vs Long Island) and in the Governors Bowl (NY vs NJ) All-Star games. During his years as a Skyhawk, Rhamel was a standout QB and earned a reputation as a fierce and hard hitting defender. Good luck Rhamel and we wish you continued success.
