Former Skyhawk Patrolling the Big Ten Basketball Courts

Zach Williams, (Skyhawk '92) a 6'7" 230 lb junior is currently starting at Forward for the Ohio State University Basketball team. He and the Buckeyes came up short during the Big Ten Basketball Tournament. The Buckeyes season continued in the NIT. During the 2002-2003 season, Zach averaged nearly 10 points and 6 rebounds per game. Zach was instrumental in the Buckeyes 2002 Big Ten Tournament Championship averaging nearly 10 points and 7 rebounds. He was also named the Chevrolet Player of the Game for his efforts vs. Michigan State University on 2/10/02. Zach averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds as a senior at Christ the King High School. He also maintained an "A" average, earning Gold Honors in the classroom as well. Zach was a four-year starter while playing for the Royals. He earned First Team honors on the New York Newsday All-New York team. He also was a second team selection of the New york Daily News All-New York. Zach was an outstanding player and one of the main reasons for the success of the 1992 UNDEFEATED Pee Wee Division Champions.
